On Original Sin (Genzai)
- 「原罪」とは、旧約聖書の創成期第3章において、地上に生まれた最初の人類であるアダムとイブの物語の中で説かれており、神学において詳しく研究されてきた歴史がある。イブが蛇の誘惑に負けて禁断の木の実（神から食べてはいけないと定められていた知識の実）を口にしてしまい、アダムもそれに従い、神から楽園を追放されるのである。この解釈は、ユダヤ教、キリスト教、イスラム教において大きく異なっており、またそこから分派した様々な宗派によっても見解の違いが存在する。
‘Original Sin’ is expounded in the narrative of Adam and Eve—the first humans born on Earth—within the third chapter of Genesis in the Old Testament. It holds a history of extensive theological study. According to the account, Eve succumbed to the temptation of the serpent and consumed the forbidden fruit (the Fruit of Knowledge, which God had commanded them not to eat), and Adam followed suit, leading to their expulsion from Paradise by God.
The interpretation of this event varies significantly among Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and further discrepancies in perspective exist across the various denominations that have branched out from these faiths.
- 日本においては、縄文時代から長く続く神道的精神において、森羅万象に神が宿っており、人間も神の器であるという考えから、本来清純なものであるというのが基本にある。それを神道では「直霊（なおひ）」と表現している。従って「原罪」という概念は存在しないのである。その「直霊」が人間生活を営む過程において穢される（汚れる）ために、定期的に禊祓い（清浄化）を行うのである。それが天津祝詞に生かされている。汚れは「罪穢」と表現され、罪は包み隠すから来ており、人の目を誤魔化すような行為から発生し、穢れは禾（のぎ）へんであるから稲に関係しており、稲が草に負けて弱っている状態（気枯れの状態）、即ち外的圧力により活動が抑圧されている状態である。体内においては異物（毒素）に侵され体内活動（生命力）が弱っている状態を指すのである。
In the Shinto spirit that has endured in Japan since the Jomon period, the fundamental belief is that divinity resides in all creation and that humans, as vessels of the divine, are inherently pure. This intrinsic purity is expressed in Shinto as ‘Nao-hi’ (the direct spirit). Consequently, the concept of ‘Original Sin’ does not exist in Japanese thought.
Instead, because this ‘Nao-hi’ becomes stained or ‘defiled’ (Kegare) through the course of daily life, ritual purification—known as ‘Misogi-Harai’—is performed periodically to restore purity. This principle is embodied in the ‘Amatsu-Norito’ (Heavenly Ritual Incantations). Defilement is expressed as ‘Tsumi-Kegare.’ The word ‘Tsumi’ (sin) derives from the act of ‘concealing’ (tsutsumi-kakusu), arising from behaviors that deceive others. ‘Kegare’ (impurity), written with the kanji for grain (ine), refers to a state where rice is weakened by weeds—a condition of ‘Ki-gare’ (withered spirit). This signifies a state where one’s vital activity is suppressed by external pressure. Within the body, it refers to a state where life force is weakened by the invasion of foreign substances (toxins).
- 「原罪」は旧約聖書によって記されており、その概念は「夜昼転換」によって必要があって生まれたのである。「昼の時代」は量子場が明るいため、宇宙の「理」である因果律が強力に働くことによって悪は出来なくなり、自然に善が栄えていくので、原罪という概念は必要ないのである。約3000年前、太陽活動の減退期の到来と共に「昼の時代」から「夜の時代」に変り、量子場が暗くなり「もの」がよく見えなくなった。そのため人類は近視眼的傾向になり、愛欲、物質欲、支配欲から悪が発生し、それが個人から家庭、地域社会、民族、国家と広がり、物質文化の進歩と共に闘争が、地域紛争、戦争へと拡大していき、それによって人類は苦難の時代を迎えることになった。それが史実に反映されているのである。しかし、そういう時代にあっても、神は慈悲により人類が堕落しないように、それぞれの民族において特定の因縁のある高次の量子情報を持っている人物を遣わし、神の意志を伝達し、それが各宗教の教義となり、それぞれの民族、国家を導いてきたのある。西洋においては、それがユダヤ教であり、旧約聖書の成立から、キリスト教、イスラム教の成立へと繋がるのである。東洋においてはバラモン教から仏教、ヒンドゥー教の成立、また中国においては儒教、道教の成立である。そこには、必ず人間の欲望を制御するための教え（戒律）が存在するのである。
The concept of ‘Original Sin’ is recorded in the Old Testament, but it was born out of a functional necessity triggered by the ‘Transition from Day to Night.’ In the ‘Era of Day,’ the quantum field is bright, and the ‘Law of Causality’—the fundamental logic of the universe—operates so powerfully that evil cannot manifest, and goodness naturally flourishes. Thus, the concept of Original Sin is unnecessary in such an era.
However, approximately 3,000 years ago, with the arrival of a period of declining solar activity, the ‘Era of Day’ transitioned into the ‘Era of Night.’ As the quantum field grew dark, things became less visible, leading humanity toward a short-sighted orientation. Evils such as lust, materialism, and the desire for dominance emerged, spreading from individuals to families, communities, nations, and states. Coupled with the progress of material civilization, struggles escalated into regional conflicts and global wars, plunging humanity into an age of suffering. This process is clearly reflected in historical facts.
Yet, even in such times, the Divine, in its mercy, sent individuals possessing high-dimensional quantum information to specific peoples to prevent total moral collapse. Their transmission of the divine will formed the doctrines of various religions, guiding diverse ethnicities and nations. In the West, this led from Judaism and the formation of the Old Testament to Christianity and Islam. In the East, it manifest in the progression from Brahmanism to Buddhism and Hinduism, and in China, the establishment of Confucianism and Taoism. In every instance, these teachings contained precepts (commandments) designed to regulate human desire.
- 日本においては創造神は「国常立尊」であるが、非常に至正至直で厳格な神であったために、八百万の神々から、余り厳格であると楽が出来ないとのことで鬼門（艮ー北東）の方角へ押し込められ「艮の金神」となられたとされている。「神霊正典」においては、第4次元界の神霊界の出来事として記されているが、大本教教祖出口直刀自のお筆先によれば、古代に「国常立尊」は実際に地上に転生して世界的に支配していたが、その治世があまりに厳格であったため、世論によって引退を迫られたとされている。それが「節分」の日であった。その時に肉体は滅ぼされて、目は目刺しに、臓物は雑煮として、筋はそうめんとして食され、魂は鬼門（東北）の方角（北海道の芦別山）に押し込められたのである。そして、「煎豆が花を咲かせたら出てきても良い」と豆まきをして封じ込めたとされている。節分の豆まきや「鬼門除け」として玄関や鬼門の方角に鰯の頭を柊（ひいらぎ）で刺して飾るなどの行事が今でも行われているのはその表れである。従って、日本人にとっての原罪とは、自分たちの欲望を満たすために正しい神である「国常立尊」を鬼門に押し込めたことであり、現在においてもその意味を知らず、節分の行事を続けていることが大きな罪である。言い換えれば正しい神を包み隠す「罪」が原罪なのである。
In Japan, the creator deity is ‘Kunitokotachi-no-Mikoto.’ Because he was an extremely upright and rigorous deity, the ‘Eight Million Gods’ (Yaoyorozu-no-Kami) eventually complained that his strictness prevented them from enjoying themselves. Consequently, he was pushed into the direction of the Demon Gate (Kimon; Northeast) and became known as ‘Ushitora-no-Konjin’ (The Golden Deity of the Northeast).
The ‘Shinrei Seiten’ records this as an event in the 4th-dimensional spiritual realm. However, according to the automatic writings (Ofudesaki) of Nao Deguchi, the foundress of Oomoto-kyo, Kunitokotachi had actually reincarnated on Earth in ancient times to rule the world. His governance was so rigorous that public opinion forced him into retirement on the day of ‘Setsubun.’ It is said that at that time, his physical body was destroyed: his eyes became ‘Mezashi’ (skewered sardines), his entrails became ‘Zoni’ (soup), and his sinews became ‘Somen’ (noodles). His soul was confined to the direction of the Kimon (Mount Ashibetsu in Hokkaido). The ritual of scattering beans was established as a seal, with the mockery: ‘You may return only when parched beans sprout flowers.’
The enduring customs of bean-scattering and hanging sardine heads on holly branches (Hiiragi) at the entrance to ward off the ‘demon’ are manifestations of this ancient event. Therefore, the ‘Original Sin’ for the Japanese people is the act of imprisoning the righteous deity, Kunitokotachi, in the Kimon to satisfy their own desires. Continuing these rituals without understanding their true meaning constitutes a profound sin even today. In other words, the ‘sin’ (tsumi)—derived from the word ‘to conceal’ (tsutsumi-kakusu)—of hiding away the true God is Japan’s Original Sin.
- 1931年（昭和6年）に「夜昼転換」が行われ、地球の量子場が「昼の時代」転換した。それによって、「国常立尊」が地球神霊界の司宰神として復帰され、「国常立尊」の司る「理」が強力に働くようになった。それがキリスト教における「復活」であり、ユダヤ教、イスラム教における「主の来臨」なのである。それによって因果律が厳格に働くため、夜の時代の罪穢が清算される。それが「最後の審判」なのである。人々は隠し事が出来なくなり、欲望が支配していた時代は終わり、真善美が栄える時代に移行されていくのである。そうなれば、「原罪」という概念は必要なくなるのである。
In 1931 (Showa 6), the ‘Transition from Night to Day’ occurred, shifting the Earth’s quantum field into the ‘Era of Day.’ Consequently, ‘Kunitokotachi-no-Mikoto’ was restored as the presiding deity of the planetary spiritual realm, and the ‘Universal Law’ (Ri) governed by him began to operate with immense power. This restoration constitutes the ‘Resurrection’ in Christianity and the ‘Advent of the Lord’ in Judaism and Islam.
As a result, the Law of Causality (Cause and Effect) now functions rigorously, leading to the liquidation of the ‘Tsumi-Kegare’ (sins and impurities) accumulated during the Era of Night. This is the true nature of the ‘Last Judgment.’ It has become impossible for people to keep secrets; the era dominated by selfish desires is ending, giving way to a period where Truth, Virtue, and Beauty flourish. In this new state of existence, the very concept of ‘Original Sin’ will no longer be necessary.
